We have been looking at place value in Maths lessons to help us gain insight to how numbers are built, to gain an understanding of the value of different digits, & to help break down complex numbers.
4M’s out of this world’s biscuit’s
4M enjoyed looking at the galaxy’s and making our own biscuits for our science entry level.
Not only were they outstanding, they were also delicious.
Marbling continues
We’re adding stencilled mandala patterns to our shaving foam art pictures to practice for our final outcome design.
Humanities
One of our old teachers, Mrs Docherty came to visit 4M during Humanities to tell us first hand knowledge of what it was like growing up in the 1960s.
Art
We are adding to our Art Entry Level portfolios with marble shaving foam pictures. We found 2 different ways of creating these pictures which left no waste.
BTEC cooking
Cooking is a valuable skill that increases independence, creativity & builds personal confidence. This half term 4M will be focusing on simple lunches that they can choose to make, this week we started with Mac & Cheese.
Making breakfast
4M have made their own breakfast in cooking as a treat. It was a mixture of fun & responsibility as they recalled cooking instructions & skills from previous lessons.
Art
We are creating Japanese Notan designs as a printing plate. This will contribute to part of our Entry Level qualification in Art.
Our therapy dog
We love spending time with our schools therapy dog Daisy.
BTEC cooking
Fantastic culinary skills today from 4M, making the perfect cheese omelette.
