Pupil Progress and Achievement at PCA
Click this link to view the Department for Education performance tables.
Due to the significant level of need of pupils attending PCA, a very high percentage of these pupils are performing below the expected levels at the end of key stage. However, we do have very high aspirations for all of our pupils and set challenging targets and rigorously track progress against this. Pupil progress is benchmarked against the National Caspa Data set, which compares pupils with similar levels of need.
EYFS
- At PCA we use a range of additional assessment tools to track small steps of progress such as Development Matters, B Squared, Caspa, Evisense, Key Stage assessments and parental comments.
- Each developmental stage is broken into 3 sublevels and progress through these sublevels is tracked throughout EYFS. Children making above 3 levels of progress are making above expected progress in development matters in comparison the progress in mainstream settings.
- Whilst the table below shows progress in Literacy and Numeracy, the data is representative of all 7 areas of the curriculum at the end of a child’s reception year at PCA.
