Star of the week is Dominic for outstanding engagement during phonics.Well done Dominic!

Have a lovely half term 1B.You have all worked really hard. Have lot’s of fun and we’ll see you in a week.

Today 1B have smashed our very own pieces of moon rock. This links in with our story whatever next for when they land on the moon. It also helps with our hand eye coordination when holding objects.

We are sounding out the letter B In phonics this week. We each took a turn to sound out the B sound which was represented in the picture and then matched them to the picture board.

1B have been using picture boards to help us choose what we would like to eat. Today we chose from apples,oranges and breadsticks. Everybody was fantastic in pointing to the picture of what they wanted.

We are learning about full and empty in 1B. We took turns to fill a bucket full of sand and then said “full” we then emptied the bucket and said”empty”

Today in 1B we have made our own rocket ship painting. We are reading the story whatever next and we love counting down from 5 to 1 then saying blast off!
We enjoyed trying to recognise the shapes we were printing.
