4M 2024-2025

We are learning about the solar system in Science & the sheer size of the planets. Today we have focused on the sun & we were amazed at how small it appears to super stars. 

In our Entry Level qualification 4M are exploring the world of the 1960s & the roles males & females performed daily. 

4M have started their Entry level Print Making unit to go towards their qualification. They’re exploring patterns & creating Zentangles to formulate a plan for their final ideas for print. 

Today was all about cooking with eggs. 
4M investigated how many breakfast items could be made with eggs.

In drama we’re looking into different film genres & how films are made to reflect them. 
We looked at different types of music used, displays of emotion, & places films were set. 

Todays stem lesson we was set a task of building a skyscraper using only 5 pieces of paper, a pair of scissors and celotape.

We was spilt into groups to see who could build the tallest or strongest tower. 
well done everyone, you all worked very well in your groups. 

Today we learnt  the part names and the purpose of the Bunsen burner, as well as how to light our burner safely.

Today 4M enjoyed their first BTEC cooking lesson. Not only did they complete theory behind cooking & hygiene, but they also made a yummy apple crumble.

Chloey & Bethany have been working as a team whilst working with place valve during Maths. They worked together to understand & answer the missing Roman Numerals & their valve. 

4M have been busy making our form room look lovely. Mr M has supported all students in working the laser cutter, from designing to cutting the wood.
