1A 2024-2025

This afternoon 1A have enjoyed making some 3D penguins like the one in our story ‘Lost and Found’. We coloured in our penguins and cut them out carefully using our fantastic cutting skills.

In English this morning we have been learning how to follow instructions. We read the instructions on the board and followed them to make some yummy cakes.

We have had a fantastic first day back in 1A! We have enjoyed seeing all of our friends after the half term break.

It’s another week so it must be time for another Eric Carle story. This week we are focussing our learning on the story, ‘The Very Busy Spider.’ We have been matching animals, identifying animal noises and practising carefully counting animals. Well done everyone. ????????

What a hot start to the week! This afternoon we have spent splashing and paddling in the water and what a great way to cool down! Well done everyone for being so safe around the water, following verbal instructions from the adults. 

We recognised VE Day (albeit yesterday,) by making flags, listening to music and having a street party together with 1H.

We had so much fun exploring the forest, looking for flowers and digging for bugs. It has been lovely to see all of the learning we have done recently come together as children have been counting, reciting their favourite stories and communicating with one another through play.

All of the children have blown Mrs Naisbit-Reed’s socks off this morning by independently sorting pictures of objects that are big and small. ⭐️ well done everyone.
