3S 2023-2024

Thursday 23rd May is National Outdoor Learning Day. To help us promote our Forest School and Outdoor Learning provision , this year we are holding our first School Scarecrow Exhibition as part of our days events. Each class will create their own freestanding scarecrow, from a theme of their own…

We learnt today how to use a knife safely and how to clean it safely after use.Our reward was to taste the home made wedges that we had made in the air fryer.Delicious.

Pupils played bowls today in teams.Although pupils live to win we were trying to teach resilience and that it’s ok to to not win too.

Our experiment today was to find out which colour was the best to use for a spacesuit.We wanted to know which would keep them the coolest .We used lamps,coloured paper and thermometers.

Following on from last weeks Art lesson we have been blending  watercolours to paint apples.We were very impressed with their work today.

Congratulations Lottie for getting achiever of the week for being resilient in a social situation with your friends this week. 
Also well done to Lottie and Adian for representing PCA at schools alive this week. 3S are all very proud of you.

3S have been practicing their sketching today to draw and shade an apple.They tried so hard and had some amazing results.

Egg decorating and  cross bun tasting were part of our activities this afternoon.We will roll them tomorrow!

We had lots of fun making crosses, planting cress seeds and listening to the Easter story as part of our Easter activity day.

We had an amazing afternoon at Ridgeway farm today.We saw and fed baby lambs.We watched a huge owl flying,fed goats,saw monkeys,ferrets and even a raccoon.Very proud of 3S.

Congratulations to Jack for being our achiever of the week for completing one of his short term targets, and well done Kai for working so hard independently, on a lovely creation for the Seasiders competition.
