2R 2023-2024

2R’s Star of the week this week is Connor for being brave and kicking his legs at swimming. Our Scarf award this week goes to Scarlette for being caring and kind to everyone. 

Today 2R have enjoyed using ScratchJr to explore computer programming. We were able to assign commands in a sequence and demonstrated how to make the character move in different ways. 

Well done to both Connor and Redowan for achieving Star and Scarf of the week!

In topic today 2R went on an expedition to discover what they can find in a desert environment. They were able to find and tick everything off their list. Well done 2R!

For DT day 2R have decided to design and Create a shelter. They have enjoyed searching school for ideas, thinking about shapes and discussing the different materials found and the purpose of each shelter. Great work everyone!

2R have had a busy fun packed day for Comic Relief and we have raised LOTS of money! 
We enjoyed a cake sale, MUGA Marathon, Pie a Prefect, comic relief nose scavenger hunt, telling each other jokes and a FUN packed assembly! We are all shattered

Well done to Scarlette our Star of the Week and Byron our SCARF winner! Great job

2R have enjoyed using clay to create their own monsters. They manipulated the clay using their hands and tools to make the basic shape and then added features such as eyes, teeth and spikes ready to paint next week. Your monsters look amazing 2R well done!

In computing 2R have been looking at Mondrian art. They then used the computers to create their own Mondrian inspired art work. They all look amazing, great work everyone!

2R had a visit from the Fire Brigade. They learned about what the fire brigade do and the different equipment that they use. 

4H created some amazing puppets for us to use with our storybook ‘Charlie Cook’s favourite book’ we got to listen to the story whilst 4H used the puppets and made great sound effects. We all loved it and can’t wait to use the puppets in class. Thank you
