In our home cooking session this week we made lemon and blueberry muffins.
We all learnt how to carefully zest the lemons using a grater, we then mixed this with the other ingredients into a batter which we carefully placed into muffin cases.

We continued to improve our knowledge and skills with using potatoes in our home cooking class.
We made roast potatoes, mashed potatoes and parmentier potatoes.

This week in 5J we have been practicing our home cooking skills, we practiced peeling, chopping and scooping potatoes, seasoning them and cooking them in the airfryer! They were delicious!

Darius made a snack
Mrs Rowe was making a snack this afternoon when Darius came over and asked if he could help.
He very sensibly cut up fruit and maltloaf then shared them with the class.

Finlay the Baker
Finlay arrived in school this morning with a box full of cakes.
He had made them with his Nanny and brought them in to share with all his friends.

Baking for Bark off!
Our sixth formers have been baking cakes and decorating them to sell and rise money next week for ‘Bark off’. A charity to support both working dogs and those who need rehoming.

4S Life Skills- Baking
As part of our life skills 4S did some baking this afternoon!
We learnt to warm the ovens up, mix the cookie dough and baked them the perfect amount of time!
They were DELICIOUS!!!!
