Achiever of the Week
Joe is 3Js Achiever of the Week this week for his hard work and deification during maths
UNO!
Jake has been teaching his friends to play UNO. They enjoyed playing together and got quite good at it.
The Holy Communion
In RE this week, 3J have learnt about what a Holy Communion is and what coming of age entails within the Christianity religion. Everyone tried “communion bread” as a part of a reinactment of the Holy Communion.
Moon phases experiememt
As a part of our space topic in science, 3j have been looking into the different stages of a lunar cycle. We looked into what the moon looks like in each phase and why it looks different every so often!
Making potato wedges
Today in DT, 3J learnt how to make potato wedges ! Everyone did fantastic whilst chopping up the potato using the bridge method. Everyone thought that the wedges were delicious
Theatre trip
We went to The Grand Theatre to watch the Boy At The Back Of The Class.
Inside the theatre
We all really enjoyed being inside the theatre and seeing the beautiful building.

Science rocket experiment
Today in science as a part of our space and planets topic, 3J have looked into what life is like living on a space station and how astronauts get there. We did a space rocket experiment to look into G forces in action.
Funky biscuit making
3J have had fun decorating biscuits into cool funky faces as a part of their arts award
Scarecrow Exhibition
Thursday 23rd May is National Outdoor Learning Day. To help us promote our Forest School and Outdoor Learning provision , this year we are holding our first School Scarecrow Exhibition as part of our days events. Each class will create their own freestanding scarecrow, from a theme of their own…
Thomas Beckett
3J have been learning lots about the life story of Thomas Beckett, the old Archbishop of Canterbury ! We have had fun with acting out the story of King Henry and Thomas Beckett’s murder.
