1H 2023-2024

Today, we compared things from the past with things from the present including phones and toys. We loved pretending to use the old phones and couldn’t believe they didn’t take photos!

We loved getting creative this morning and making some beautiful little wreaths to bring home. 

Today we enjoyed a trip to the Panto with most of the school. We all were super stars and sat so well throughout the entire show. We loved all the lights, songs and action!

This week, we got to make our own sound sequences on purple ,ash using 5e iPads. We loved all the different instruments we could choose from. 

Christmas has arrived in 1H and we are VERY happy about it. We really enjoyed role playing Santa, reindeers and elves whilst decorating our tree.

We enjoyed practicing life skills whilst running todays enterprise stall. Handling money, talking to people and being in a working environment helps us to develop life skills for our future.

Thank you to everyone who came to visit us at our KS1 Enterprise stall. We had homemade cakes, biscuit decorating, sweet raffle bags, crafts and Christmas decorations on sale. We raised lots of money for school and the pupils had a great time making things in class and helping to sell things on…

This afternoon, in computing, we looked at how computers can make music too. We enjoyed exploring the sound application on purple mash and hearing the different instruments play.

Today, we began making sweet bags ready for KS1’s enterprise stall. We learnt all about hygiene, products and sales. It was hard but we resisted the sweets and got a treat after. 

In art, this afternoon, we painted our own snowmen. With the weather getting colder we thought it would be the perfect time as they won’t melt. 

We loved making paper springs today in DT. We listened very carefully and followed the instructions to make our springs.
