3R 2023-2024

Bethany has been working on this poster; when she has completed all of her work. She explained that it is a “positivity poster that helps people smile and be happy in themselves.” Bethany included phrases such as ‘you are safe’, ‘you look amazing’ and ‘be confident in your own skin’. Well done…

In English pupils read the article about Luke Littler. They then answered questions about him and discussed the differences between their lives and Luke Littler’s life. 

In PSHE 3R looked at different charities, what they are for and how they are used. They had a big discussion in regards to why people may need them and were extremely sensible. 

In STEM 3R completed a team Lego challenge to make the tallest free-standing tower in five minutes. Jaiden and Rhys won the challenge by about 6 inches.

As a class 3R read the fact file about London Zoo. They took it in turns to read a part each. They then answered the questions as a class and took part in some great discussions. 

3R wishes Jaiden a very happy 13th birthday! 

Today in Computing pupils were given some information about who has what pets and how many of them. They then created their own pictogram that resembled the information. All of them used many skills such as; copying and pasting, working independently and following instructions correctly. Well done…

KS3/4 had some fun in the snow today! 

Forest school today consisted of using trees, branches, wooden pallets and old decking to create a free standing tower. The group with the highest tower won 50 Dojos each. 

In Geography 3R’s new topic is Natural disasters. We looked at a range of different disasters such as, tornados, hurricanes, tsunamis and earthquakes. We then identified countries that have experienced these and the impacts they suffered. 

3R had an exciting drama lesson, which included creating their own stories, based on the props that were given to them and acted it out in front of the class. Fantastic team work and a range of skills used, well done!
