3J 2023-2024

3J have had a great morning at St Mary’s using their fitness suite.  

Jake has reaLly impressed us with his map skills. Not only has he drawn the map of the UK and France on the board but he’s added the flags too. Well done Jake.  

Our achiever of the week is Franklin because of his great contribution to the humanities lesson.  

Some of 3J spent time this morning having a session with the Shine team.  They spent time saying nice things about themselves and working out how to describe their feelings.  

James has completed a fantastic piece of work in English. He’s working hard at trying to work independently and we are very proud of him.  

3J visited the library during their English this morning to look for non-fiction texts.
They found lots of different non-fiction texts & checked the books for the features we’ve been learning about in our lessons. 

M and M productions came into school today to perform the Hobbit for us.  The children really enjoyed it.  

Jack is 3J’s achiever of the week because of his excellent attitude in all of the lessons. Well done Jack.  

During RE 3J acted out the story of the Good Samaritan and then worked together to sequence the images from the story.  

For the past few weeks in drama, 3J have been learning how to play lots of different games to help improve their teamwork, communication and build up resilience. This weeks challenge was to transfer every member of the class across the room without stepping on the floor ! 

In our class book we read that the character’s dad was a carpenter.  Our class weren’t sure what that meant and so we set a challenge for the students to find out what it meant.  Jake and Broydon went away to research it and came back with the correct answer. Well done. 

3J have voted Jake to be their eco councillor and Lily to be their pupil voice representative!
