2A 2023-2024

In science this week 2A have been doing some experiments with wood and water. Some experiments that we enjoyed were; testing to see if the wood could float or if it would sink, pouring water onto wood to see if it is waterproof and testing how many droplets of water we can balance on the back of…

Yesterday, Archie shared his fantastic news with us all that he had won awards for swimming. 
Well done Archie, we are very proud of you. 

Some of the girls in 2A have been using their artistic skills during their free time to make a robot. They have worked on the robot all week and have finally finished! 

Brooklyn has won a signed football from AFC Fylde football club! Well done Brooklyn!

A huge well done to Lacey who is our star of the week! Lacey has shown fantastic maturity this week and has worked extra hard to excel in her reading.

This morning we held our Elmer coffee morning and cake sale. 
we are raising money for Brian House and the Elmer Big Parade which will take place in March. 
watch out for PCA’s Elmer! 

This week 2A have had an exciting visitor who came to park. Paul from Blackpool FC came to talk to us about all of the amazing things that Blackpool FC do for the community. We had fun doing some challenges and finishing the talk with learning a chant… sea sea, Seasiders!

Today we all have had so much fun celebrating that our school is Outstanding!! We are so proud to be apart of the park community academy family and we all love our school!

As part of our OFSTED outstanding celebrations we were all treated to an ice-cream from the van.  

We saw a report on Newsround about the ISS and we wondered what space food tasted like. 
we bought some on Amazon, and tasted some strawberries and some chocolate chip ice cream. It was dry and hard but it soon rehydrated in our mouths. It was tasty but weird!

In 2A’s DT lesson this week we have been making felt from cotton fibres! We can’t wait for you see see the final product!
