During DofE we are beginning to explore how to read maps. We have started walking in Stanley Park with maps to gain a better understanding of direction.
1A can identify the recycle logo
1A have been identifying the recycle logo from a range of different logos and then we have been looking for the recycle logo on a range of packaging. The children have been verbally saying the word ‘recycle’ when looking at the logo. Well done everyone.
Preparing for tomorrow’s coffee morning
Tomorrow we will be hosting a fair trade coffee morning @TheOracle. This morning we have been preparing hot cross buns, cakes and fruit salad ready to sell.
Seed Dispersals
Today in Science we have looked into the different ways in which seeds can be dispersed by plants. We popped a balloon filled with confetti to see how far the confetti would disperse across the classroom which mimics how some plants spread their seeds!
Last supper
Today we learnt about the last supper what Jesus and disciples took part in before he was taken away to be crucified.

Harry-Blu celebrated his 10th birthday on Tuesday! 2R enjoyed singing to him
Fire engine visit
Today we were lucky enough to go and visit the fire engine. We got to sit on board, fire the hose and touch some of the equipment that the fire fighters use. This afternoon, some of the children were eager to create their own fire engine. Well done everyone.
Animal Care @ Myerscough
At Myerscough this week we got to do a lot of hands on care. We got to give Spyro the beared dragon a bath and scrub with toothbrushes as to help with his shedding.
We then got to hold Jane the hamster and the tarantula. Finally we got to visit the chickens.
