2R Making pizza dough
2R enjoyed making pizza dough in DT. They explored the different textures and noticed how it changed and became stretchy the more they kneaded the dough. Great work everyone!
Introduction to a Dirt Bike Motorcycle.
Today at Myerscough College the students looked at a dirt bike motorcycle. They learned about how to start a bike, accelerate, brake and change gear.
They also learned how to strip off the dirt bike plastics/fairings to clean or replace them and to expose the mechanical components to work on…

Fine motor activities
This week in 1B, we have been engaging in a number of fine motor activities including name writing, dough disco and other finger/hand strengthening activities.
Trying Pomegranates
The characters in our class book, ‘The Boy in the Back of the Class’ have tried eating pomegranates and so we tried too. The students were surprised by how it looked inside and most of the class enjoyed tasting it.

Year 11 Construction group
The construction group are nearing the end of their course and are starting to see their work coming together. There is only 1 more session to go to get their work done, they've worked extra hard today and have nearly finished, well done, construction group!
Whittling skills
3H sharpened their whittling skills in arts award this afternoon in the forest school. All their hard work will go into making this year’s school entry into a local Christmas Tree design competition. Watch out for updates on this later this term!
