BASSO Schools Alive Winter Gardens February 6th 2024
The musicians with a connection to PCA performed superbly at the Schools Alive concert and were well rewarded with a standing ovation. Our hours of practice on Tuesday evenings throughout the previous year certainly paid off for us - and the audience!
Twice the fun!
What could be better than watching your car go down the ramp? Watching someone else’s too!
We have been busy working on “my turn, your turn”.
Tie Dye t shirts
In our art lesson today we started our tie dye t shirts, we got the shirts damp, twisted them and dye them, we can’t wait to see them when the colour sets after half term.
Fine motor water and ice fun
All of the children absolutely loved this fine motor activity this morning using the spray bottles to colour the ice. Miss Brown apologises for any pupils coming home a funny colour yesterday but hey, a messy child is a happy child
Music
In our music lesson this week we got to do some dancing with ribbons.
We learnt how to move the ribbon in different ways and how to move it in time to the music.
It was lots of fun!
Well done 4S!
Happy Birthday!
A big Happy Birthday to Tyler! We hope you have had the best day with your friends and can’t wait to hear all about your party with your family tonight.
Science
In science this week, we were looking at different materials and the properties that these materials possess.
These properties include soft, hard, shiny, dull and stretchy.
We all had a feel of the different materials and said how they felt and what properties they had.
Well done 4S!
Myerscough
Our Myerscough group have been busy feeding and watering the reptiles. Well done to Elicia, Tyler and Thomas for feeding the live bugs to the Lizards.
Setting up activities
We were challenged with setting up our own activities in a safe manner today. All students were able to carry out instructions, ask for help if needed & support their peers to create a setting for a table table tournament.
International badge - Cubs
As part of their international activity badge, KS2 sampled some French, Italian & Spanish food. Here are some pictures of Lorenzo who really enjoyed trying all the different types of cuisines.
Hats and Mirrors
We have enjoyed exploring the dressing up hats this morning and looking at our reflections in the mirrors.
