We have been out on the B&FC campus this morning using walkie-talkies. We spilt into two groups, & used the phonetic alphabet to describe number plates of cars parked, we included the colour & make.
2A’s Reverend Visit!
2A have had a lovely visit from a Reverend! We learnt all about how baptism works and we got to act it out together as a class!
Scavenger hunt
Well done 3S, you were able to fill in your sheets working in small groups.
Phases of the Moon
3S had great fun in Science using Oreo biscuits to fill in their chart about the phases of the moon.
Wrapper design
Today we looked at snack wrappers, they are colourful and appealing to make you want to buy them. In our Design technology lesson we completed different wrappers before designing our own brand products.
Project Search
Project Search came into the Oracle to speak with Sixth form & Year 11 students on employability. It was lovely to see two of PCAs ex students present the offering to us & hear of their own experiences. Project Search helped them both find a job they love.
Reading for pleasure
All Oracle students are encouraged to read for pleasure at home & whilst at Sixth Form. All classes visit our local library every 2 weeks to exchange books & select a book of their choosing.
Tadpoles
Mr Dillingham brought in tadpoles from his Dads pond, we enjoyed watching them swim around!
Our scarecrows
Our sunflowers are growing! After reading Scarecrows Wedding in English, we made our scarecrows to protect them!
2G news
Hayden loved sharing his holiday news this morning. 2G have missed him, but enjoyed hearing about his travels.
Sports Day Practise
This morning we have been practising lots of activities in preparation for sports day. The children really enjoyed themselves and really tired their teachers out by wanting to keep going again, again and again.
English exploring senses
2W have been exploring their senses in English. Tasting, touching, looking and smelling different items and foods then using this to describe each item.
