Healthy lifestyles festival
Today we completed out six weeks of Healthy Lifestyles sessions. We had a glow in the dark festival with lots of games and prizes. Thank you Martin and Shannon for all your fun lessons!
Pumpkins
This morning, we have been exploring the pumpkin. The children began by putting stickers on the pumpkin then we cut the top off and we pulled all of the seeds out. The children were using some great vocabulary such as ‘pumpkin, seeds, pull, wash and clean.
Descriptive writing in English
In Our English Entry Level, we’ve begun our descriptive writing module, we came up with loads of adjectives for a Witch, then created our own Halloween monsters and thought of even more adjectives for them!

Scavenger hunt for brown bear in the forest

4S Harvest donations
A big thank you to Ellie and Monty for their harvest donations.
All donations are going to Streetlife.
We are looking forward to our special Harvest assembly this afternoon and seeing all the food and toiletries that will be going to such a wonderful charity.
STEM
Skittles with a difference today for 4H. They used different sized bottles filled with water, lentils and polystyrene and used their bowling skills to find out which bottle would be the easiest or hardest to knock down.
Home cooking
In our home cooking session this week we made lemon and blueberry muffins.
We all learnt how to carefully zest the lemons using a grater, we then mixed this with the other ingredients into a batter which we carefully placed into muffin cases.

DT making cheese on toast
Well done 2R you enjoyed going into the food tech room and made some cheese on toast. You all did an amazing job grating the cheese independently and sprinkling it onto your toast. You were all very responsible and concentrated on what you were doing. Thumbs up for some great work!
Myerscough College: Motorsports
Keiron and Jordan were crowned champions of the bottle Racer Distance Challenge. Their combination of water volume and air pressure powered their vehicle the greatest distance.
Therapy dog training
Well done to 4 of our students for completing their ‘Therapy Dog Ambassador’ training.
They have undertaken 6 weeks of training with KRR Dog training company to become confident in giving instructions & commands to our therapy dogs.
