Making Volcanoes
In humanities 3J have been learning about volcanoes and today they designed and made their own model of a volcano.

Jack’s birthday was during the holidays but we celebrated today.
Erupting Volcanoes
Once we made our models the class made their volcanoes erupt. It was good fun.
Role play area
We have a new role play area in class ‘At the seaside’. It has a sand pit for us to pretend we are at the beach and a pretend ice cream van for us to buy and sell from. We have loved role playing today.
New building work!
We were very excited to go and see the new building work that is taking place down in the senior playground.
Maths busy time!
This morning we have had an amazing maths lesson, we had a very relaxed session. We had maths busy time, we were all so grown up and picked our own activities. Some of us played with maths accessories, played top marks, played with number magnets, played with numicon and made our own shop.
5 currant buns
We’ve had lots of fun practising our counting this morning using the 5 currant buns rhyme and homemade buns
Dance Mondays
We’ve kicked off the new term with a bang. In dance we have been moving our bodies to different genres. We’ve used high & low movements to fit with the song.
Styles of music
This afternoon we have been looking at styles of music, we have listened to different genres and talked about what kind of dancing matches. By the end of our lesson we were all able to match the style of music to different songs.
Elmer Parade
It’s been lovely to see what everyone has been up to during the Easter break. Logan went around Blackpool finding elephants in the Elmer Parade, Well done Logan!
