Hapa Zome
Hapa Zome is a type of Artwork that involves printing.
We painted our bubble wrap shape, and then had to “press” on paper. The best bit was going “bang” with the mallet.
Earthquake challenge
Today we have been experimenting with building tall structures as a part of our Earthquake topic. We each used marshmallows and cocktail sticks to create a structure for Mrs Johnson to shake to see if it would withstand an Earthquake!
What’s in the suitcase?
2M have been learning about different types of holidays. They then explored two of Miss Miller’s suitcases to try to work out where she was travelling to. We all guessed correctly… a beach holiday and a winter holiday!
Myerscough
At Myerscough today sixth form have looking after the cats. They have had to clean out the cats enclosures sweeping,mopping,washing out bowls, hoovering scratch platforms and cleaning the walls. They also fed them and gave them clean water .
Preparation for adulthood (PFA)
4J had a guest in from Department work and pension, she explained and we discussed the role of the job center and how to access this great service.
Personal Hygeine talk
3J have had a fantastic PSHE lesson, recapping the importance of personal hygeine! We have gone through different types of things we should use to keep ourselves super clean. Everyone chose an item and told the class why it was important to use it such as deodorant
Cooking club
Our students made some tasty treats in cooking club. We started with ham & cheese omelettes, we then followed instructions to make our favourite flavoured toasties, & then decorated our sponge cakes.
Sports
During sports we warmed up with agility exercises. These movements will help us use our full bodies when playing football.
