Dog Training
Three of our students had a brilliant first session training our therapy dog Molly! They learnt how to teach her to sit, lay down, give paw and roll over!
Commando Joe
Today in STEM we took part in a commando joe challenge. We had to transport the balls to the bucket using the pipes. We had to use lots of skills for us to use when completing this challenge such as team work, communication skills and problem and decision making.
Motor Vehicle group B&FC
This week some of KS5 have continued with their motor vehicle college link course. We have been at B&FC learning about tools and safety in the work shop. Later we learnt how to remove wheels, check tyres, and inflate tyres.
Vegetable Soup
Today 5M have been making a healthy and tasty vegetable soup. We have used vegetables such as Carrott, brocoli, mushroom, celery and tomato, well done 5M!!
Comic Book Features
During English we have been looking at fiction and non fiction. Today we have focussed on Comic books and have identified the different features they have compared to normal books. We really enjoyed reading them and thinking of ideas for our own comic.
Plasticine mugs
Today in DT, we have used plasticine to make mugs ! We used rollers and different tools to create the different shapes in the plasticine before putting it all together into a mug !
Painting raindrops in DT
We had so much fun painting our very own raindrops using blue paint today.
Myerscough College
As part of the students external college placements, we will be visiting Myerscough College on a Tuesday.
