Independent learning
Focused play this morning was the role play kitchen, many of us enjoyed cracking eggs into the pan. We also had a focus on cogs and building spinning structures today.
Respecting other people’s beliefs
During today’s RE lesson with Mrs Hopwood we had class discussions on our beliefs on which biscuit we preferred.
We worked hard on showing each other respect on our opinions.
Which biscuit do you prefer?
Construction
We love construction! We have some very good builders in 1C! We have had a mixture of different building activities this week from the use of blocks, marble runs using pasta and duplo blocks.
5GT stem challenge
5GT were set the task of trying to balance as many books as possible on a single piece of rolled up card. Some great successes, 55 books!
Week 3 at Myerscough

5GT Pancake comparison-packet or home made?
Today 5GT we’re making pancakes. Comparing a packet mix with home made. The results came in, Home made were ‘flipping’ lovely, pardon the pun! Also with much fewer ingredients than the packet mix.
4B Life Skills: Water Safety
In Life skills the pupils of 4B looked on the RNLI website at water safety.
They recognised hazards on a picture of the beach, discussed the dangers and learnt that if they fall in cold water that they should stay calm and float on their backs like starfish.
