3T have been working hard to create a frame for their kites today. Pupils are very excited to start adding the paper and string so it will be ready to fly!

Spitfire museum
3T enjoyed a visit to the spitfire museum at Blackpool airport. Pupils learnt lots about how planes were used in the war and how the people used to communicate messages through codes and cyphers. 3T had a chance to translate some words into code. They also learnt lots about what happened to…

Summer show preparation
Pupils in 3T have been working with their peers to record their fantastic singing to the song Revolting Children in preparation for the summer show. Pupils acted very professional as they enjoyed recording their song, they should all be very proud!

Emotive language
In 3T we have been using emotive language to help create persuasive sentences. This is in preparation for writing a persuasive letter to teachers, convincing them to give the class a party. We worked hard at finding the best synonyms for the emotions we would like to include in our writing.

Team work
3T have been testing their team work skills in STEM this afternoon as they took part in a Commando Joe challenge. They had to work together in teams to get the ball around the cones without using their hands or feet.

Solid, gas and liquid
This morning 3T learnt the differences between a solid, gas and liquid and how they each move. We took this knowledge outside to recreate the movement of each state of matter with our bodies.

Commando Joe mission
3T have been working hard in STEM by taking part in a commando joe mission. We had to work in teams to collect the correct coloured balls into their matching buckets. We used resilience to collect one ball at a time and encouraged our team to complete the mission.

Simile hunt
3T have been outdoors in English for outdoor classroom day. We went for a simile hunt to add to our word jars. We found lots of adjectives to help us create simile sentences, for example ‘as tall as a tree’ and ‘as beautiful as a daisy’.

Leaf printing
3T have been busy collecting leaves in the forest area, we looked for the biggest leaves to then print with. The oil pastels created a fantastic effect when printing the leaves on paper.

KS1 Sensory club
KS1 Sensory club have been exploring an oats and pasta farm this afternoon, we enjoyed sprinkling the oats and crunching the pasta. We also spent time in the sunshine bouncing on the trampoline and splashing int he water tray.
