Dance Mondays
Today’s dance was created by improvising. We use different movement that related to the words banana & apple. We moved our bodies to represent their different colours, how they grew, & how we cut/unpeel them to eat.
Rewards day
Sixth form students took part in a NCS rewards day, organised by Blackpool Football Club Community Trust. Commando Dave provided a day of army survival activities including tug of war, assault course, fire lighting & shelter building.
Students & staff had a fabulous time.
Dog training
Molly our therapy dog has learnt some new tricks in training. She can now, wait for an instruction, then on command walk around people. Well done to our Sixth Form team of trainers.
Lacrosse
Students undertaking Public Services at Blackpool and The Fylde College experienced a new sport this week, Lacrosse. They learnt how to pass and shoot and how to correctly hold the equipment.
Lunch
What a treat Oracle students had today. Students made their own sweet & savoury Special mix to enjoy for lunch.
Lemon dance Monday
Oracle students have begun to learn movements to the song ‘stargazing’ this afternoon. All students suggested different dance moves to fit with the tempo of the music.
Life skills
As part of preparation for adulthood 5B worked on 3 key skills today. Organising paper work into the correct category, hot chocolate or tea making, & using the toaster to have toast.
Gardening
5B have been busy this afternoon tending to the Oracle garden. They have been litter picking, de weeding, & replanting.
Making dreams come true
This morning Jorja told us she’d love to make s’mores….
So this afternoon Miss Jackson and Mrs Rowe made her dreams come true!
The whole class took part, constructed their own tasty creations and we cooked them in the air fryer.

Dog training
A new group of Oracle dog trainer have started training with Molly our therapy dog. Molly was quick to follow commands from students & receive her treat.
Sports at B&FC
Due to the weather we had to call our football skills training off, so we changed plans & went into the gym. We wrote our own gym training programme using a variety of cardiovascular & resistance machines. This included a 5-10 minute warm up & a cool down session.
Public Services
We have been out on the B&FC campus refining our walkie talkie skills.
