House skills
5B have had a round robin of jobs to undertake this morning. They have stripped beds & put new sheets on, cleaned tables & hoovered, sorted washing into piles & sorted food into cupboard or fridge piles.
Life skills
5B had a busy life skills lesson, they have been sanding & painting recycled wood to make raised flower beds for our Oracle garden.
Ice cream making
5I have been busy this morning making ice cream. They voted on their favourite flavour & added raspberry ribble to it for extra taste.
Dog training
Some of our sixth form students have been working hard on new tricks for Molly. Today Molly has followed the command ‘dance’ from all six students. When Molly has achieved what has been asked of her she is rewarded with a treat.
Sports
We’ve been learning how to control the ball whilst looking ahead of us.
Public services
Today we have learnt how uniformed personal use walkie-talkies. We watched a short video where we had to explain 1 person that we saw using our new skills.
Well done Nathan!
Nathan was awarded his grade 2 trumpet certificate from The Royal academy of music. Such a great achievement, well done!
Functional maths
We’re investigating the length of different pieces of string using comparison, standard, & non standard units of measure.
Dog training
Some of our dog trained students took on the challenge, along side KRR dog trainers to train other students at the Oracle. They did a fantastic job giving out instructions & demonstrating what they wanted other students to do.
CSI
Our classroom at B&FC was a crime scene this morning! There had been murder & it needed to be solved. Oracle students working towards their Occupation Studies qualification followed the evidence to ensure the correct people were brought to justice.
Lemon Dance
We explored our emotions through dance this afternoon. We moved our bodies in different ways to display emotions & feelings.
Circuit training
We worked on our core strength during Public Services at B&FC. Our tutor had set a circuit for use to complete with 40 seconds of work & 20 seconds of rest.
