3H 2024-2025

In music today we have been listening to our song ‘happy’ and have started to read simple musical notation, supporting pupils in using the glockenspiels to play along with the music. 

During English we have been looking at fiction and non fiction. Today we have focussed on Comic books and have identified the different features they have compared to normal books. We really enjoyed reading them and thinking of ideas for our own comic. 

During our science lesson we have been learning about a new piece of equipment the Bunsen burner. We have learnt all about the gas safety in the lab and how to safely light the Bunsen burner ourselves. We were very sensible and did a great job!

3H Achiever of the week is Tyler for impressing all of his teachers with his improved reading!

3H have had lots of fun in their Music lesson today. We began with a music activity focusing on tempo and pulse. 3H then did some body and vocal warm ups, they enjoyed pulling some funny faces! Everyone enjoyed learning to sing to the chorus of ‘Happy’. 

Today in STEM, 3H were given a challenge! The task was to build a tower using only scissors, cellotape and 5 pieces of paper for their resources. Everyone worked hard in pairs and Mrs Rainey was very impressed with their creativity and teamwork!

This afternoon we went to the library and chose some books to read quietly and some to take back to our own reading area in class.

Today we have been using our team building skills to work together during board games. We played snakes and ladders, built jigsaws and even tried our best at chess.
