Scratch and the Code-A-Pillar
Today in Computing we split into two groups. One group showed their understanding of simple computer programming by controlling their Sprites using Scratch. They were able to tell us what they wanted their sprite to do and then use their awesome computing knowledge to do this! Our other group…
Sleepy Cats
This afternoon we had a moment of relaxing and took part in a brain break. We used our imagination to pretend to be sleepy cats and interpret how they would act and sleep. This allowed our brains to calm and relax.
Children in Need 2024
3H looked ‘Spotacular’ in their yellow, Pudsey inspired non-uniform today! All pupils enjoyed taking part in a range of different activities throughout the day, using their maths skills at the incredible cake sale and we all laughed out loud during our whole school assembly!
Maths
3H enjoyed partaking in fun practical activities in maths today, focusing on simple subtraction and additions across 10.
Achiever of the Week
3H achiever of the week is Violet for showing resilience in challenging situations. Well done Violet.
Dog ambassador training
Some of the students in 3H have started ‘dog ambassador training’ with PCA therapy dog Daisy.
For the next 6 weeks students will train with Daisy, short commands will be used that Daisy needs to follow.
Computing skills
This morning we have been brushing up on our computing skills by, we have been practising our typing, navigating the internet and brushing up on our individual to complete our work. Great work 3H.
Newton Meters
In Science today we have been using the Newton meters to weigh and measure different items around the science lab. We did a fantastic job at collecting and comparing our results.
Sumdog Winner
A huge well done to Finlay who has scored the most points on Sumdog in KS3!
Maths
Today in Maths we did a carousel of fun activities with a focus on; simple additions using part whole models, number bonds to 10 and keeping our technology skills up to date using Sumdog! The pupils impressed us all with their independence and supporting their peers. Well done 3H!
Plasticine
We worked on our fine motor skills to mole, bend and twist plasticine to create our own designs. We think they look fantastic.
