3B 2024-2025

Today in DT we have looked into healthy and unhealthy food! We separated food into each category and talked about why some foods are healthy and unhealthy.

Today in Arts award we looked at 4 different styles of Abstract art ! 

Today in English, we freeze framed scenes from our Chinese folk tale The Magic Paintbrush’ to help sequence the story

In science this week we tried some foods made from plants ! We tried olives, pitta bread and seeds! 

Today in RE we have looked into the story of The Prodigal Son. We retold the story by sequencing pictures to the correct order!

3Bs Achiever of the week this week is Isabella for super concentration and joining in during lessons! Well done Isabella

In English we are looking at the Chines folk tale ‘The Magic Paintbrush’. During the story, a little boy receives a paintbrush that could paint things to life! We asked 3B what they would paint if they could paint something to life - here are some of their answers. 

This term in 3B during Arts Award we are going to be looking into Abstract Art ! Today we have looked a little bit into what Abstract Art is and how people create it ! 

This half term in English we are looking into myths, legends, folk tales and fables. Our focused text is the Magic Paintbrush, a Chinese folk tale. Today we have created our own sentences for the beginning, middle and end of the story independently! Everyone created amazing sentences. 

Some of 3B faced the STEM balloon challenge today! They released the air in the balloon to see how far it could fly along a racetrack. It was good fun to see who’s balloon travelled the furthest

During this half term in RE, we are looking into the role of forgiveness in Christianity. Todays lesson focused on what forgiveness is in general and what it means to us. We completed some work on why forgiveness is important in life.
