In our college sessions today we learnt about how movies can use music to elicit different emotions.
we were then given a movie clip and had to create music for it using Logic Pro.

We started off with a music quiz. We learnt about how a rehearsal should go this week at college. We then got to practice our rehearsals and the different instruments involved.
Mr Shanagher also showed us his musical skills and taught us about the different instruments.

In our music lessons at college today we learnt about the beat, rhythm and groove of the music.
We then made a PowerPoint with different job roles and information on them, we then finished working on our music tracks on Logic Pro.

At college this week we have been learning at pitch,
We then listened to different music and used colours to express how we were feeling.
We finished with having a go at different instruments in the rehearsal rooms.

At college this week, we continued with our work on Logic Pro.
We took samples from the loop library and placed them on our track and linked them together.

Motor vehicles at the Oracle!
The students today were being questioned on their knowledge of the spray guns and the spraying process. They answered the question with the excellent knowledge they’ve gained through out their time within motor vehicles.

We have been reviewing our components of fitness during Public services.

In Public Services at B&FC we’ve learnt about different job roles & at what fitness levels you need to be at. We finished off the afternoon with boxing fitness

Today pupils from sixth form have been purpose denting their car parts so that they can expertly fix the again. They’ve had lots of fun denting and using filler to fix these dents!

At college this week we first had to listen to pieces of music and guess which instruments were being played.
We then got to try different instruments out in the studio.
We got to play the drums, a synthesiser and a piano.

We carried on with our foley sounds work at college this week. We had to take a scene from the film “Nosforatu” and create sound effects for the scene. These included a creaky door, running noise, waterfall etc. We did this really well and enjoyed it.

Today a group of KS5 pupils took part in a VR activity that helped them to improve their paint spraying skills on car parts!
