After singing nursery rhymes 2E were introduced to harambe drums and played a simple rhythm.

2E started off their music lesson singing nursery with actions.
The pupils enjoyed singing “If you’re happy and you know it” “Head, smoulders, knees and toes” “Hickory dickory dock” “Row, row, row your boat” “Old McDonald” and “The hokey pokey”.

2E Morning Minibeast Hunt.
2E enjoyed a minibeast hunt in the Berry building mud kitchen area.
They explored the different habitats that insects might live in and found ladybirds, worms, slugs, woodlice and a centipede.
Pupils returned all insects back to nature and washed their hands afterwards.

Bathing the Horsefield Tortoise.
Pupils learnt of the importance of bathing Tommy Shelby the Horsefield Tortoise. As well as keeping himm clean and healthy it also allows for visual health checks.

Pupils learnt of the importance of bathing Spyro the bearded dragon, as well as keeping him clean and healthy it also allows for a visual health check.

Myerscough College: Animal Husbandry
Students bathed Spyro the bearded dragon and learned about looking after a bearded dragon.
They also leaned an interesting fact about why bearded dragons are so named, when stressed they enlarge their throat and the skin turns black looking more beard-like.

Meeting Shelby
Pupils were introduced to Shelby the horsefield tortoise today for the first time. Just like a pet dog Shelby loved having his back scratched.

Animal Husbandry: Feeding Small Animals.
During the afternoon session the pupils prepared and fed the animals of the small animal unit.
They prepared fruit, vegetables and crickets to feed to hedgehogs, rabbits, rats, chickens, bearded dragon, frog, giant African land snails, guinea pigs, tortoise, leopard gecko and hermit crabs.

Myerscough College: Small Animal Care
In their morning session the pupils looked after the welfare of mice, rats and gerbils by feeding, watering and cleaning out their cages.
