Out in the community
Some of our Sixth Form students were out & about in the community this morning. They were caring for our therapy dogs, ensuring they had a walk & getting their steps in.
Rewards day
What a fabulous day Sixth Form students had at The Arcade Club for our end of year rewards trip.
Students were able to play on old school games & newer games such as XBox & PlayStations.
Dog training
Olivia & our therapy dog Molly have been working on commands in therapy training. Molly was able to follow the command ‘round’ to walk around Olivia when sat down & ‘sit’ to receive her treat.
Good job !
Photography
In photography 5B have been taking pictures of friends. They were controlling the lights, camera & the position of how the person was stood to take the perfect shot.
Public services
Students at the oracle set up & organised their own ping pong tournament during their Public Services session.
Cooking club
Anna cooked up a storm
in the kitchen at cooking club. She made pizza swirls & took them home for her dinner.
Travel training
Well done to Crystal who has completed her travel training.
Dog training
Jermaine has come so far in dog training. Initially Jermaine was wary of our therapy dog, but through weekly dog training he has built a fantastic relationship with Molly.
Super work guys!
Volunteering in the community
5B have been out & about volunteering in the local community. They have been busy planting flowers at Watson Rd Park with the help of our therapy dogs Molly & Daisy.
Cycling
Some of our Sixth Form students have chosen cycling as part of health & fitness. Hannah completed 8 laps of the cycle track & wanted to keep going. Good work Hannah!
Making lunch
As part of preparation for adulthood students make their own lunch once a week at the oracle. Ellie & Emma made tomato pasta bake for their lunch with cupcakes for dessert.
Bark off
What a great start to completing ‘Bark off’ miles. Our Sixth form students all all completed 10 minutes of cycling to start clocking up miles.
