Rewards day
4M had an amazing rewards day. They chose to make their own pizzas, including bases! All students demonstrated outstanding independence & initiative from start to finish. Well done.
Ridgeway farm
Part of our Science Entry Level qualification requires students to interact with animals and learn about the care they need daily. This was a valuable learning experience as it showed how hard work farming is.
DofE
During DofE we are beginning to explore how to read maps. We have started walking in Stanley Park with maps to gain a better understanding of direction.
Down’s syndrome awareness cake sale
Tomorrow we celebrate Down’s syndrome awareness day. Remember to wear odd socks & bring in money for the cake sale.
Humanities
In Humanities 4M are completing work about jobs adverts, what the advert states & how to read & apply for jobs successful. Today they completed forms grading their own skills & asked peers to check them to see if they would grade them the same.
Food art
In Art 4M are looking at different kinds of portraits. Today we used food to make to create faces & finished our lesson by taking our own pictures.
Swimming achievements
A massive well done to 4Ms super star Samuel. Not only does he swim for PCAs swim team but two other teams outside of school. His dedication & commitment to swimming requires discipline & perseverance. We are all proud of you.
BTEC cooking
What an amazing effort from our two super chefs, who showed independence, forward thinking & initiative during their cooking assessment.
They successfully made piri piri chicken kebabs & roasted red pepper & tomato soup.
Preparation for performances
4M have been looking at different genres of Music & what suits them best as a performer. They have had a choice over instruments or using their voice as well as learning key skills for working as part of a team.
Tag rugby
We’re exploring the rules of rugby in PE. The game was a close call, but team leader Robbie stole the it with a late tag & exceptional performance.
