After a tasting session the results were unanimous, well done to 4M’s roast potato making group. 

Students were split into 4 groups with 4 different sets of instructions were given for ‘The battle of the potato’. 
4M have cut, sliced, diced, grated, boiled & fried to make the most perfect potato rossi, hash browns, mash potatoes & roast potatoes. 

In DofE students have chosen their skill set & are carrying out work towards their DofE Bronze award. 

We worked as a team in Art today to create oil marble prints. We produced some fantastic work to use in our portfolios. 

We’re writing descriptive pieces of work for our English Entry Level qualifications. We are expanding our sentences & exploring different words that can be used. 

Some of the students in 3H have started ‘dog ambassador training’ with PCA therapy dog Daisy. 
For the next 6 weeks students will train with Daisy, short commands will be used that Daisy needs to follow. 

In Science we have been learning about the solar system. We have been exploring the planets, moons, asteroids & comets. 

We used a Kahoot quiz to see how much information we have remembered & to see where we need to focus next. 

Monday mornings are a firm favourite in 4M. Today we have been cooking with potatoes. Potato wedges were made & seasoned to peoples liking, & loaded potato skins filled with cheese, tomato, onion or ham - yum! 

In PE we have been exploring different sports & the skills used in them. Basket ball  skills are 4Ms favourite to practice. 
 

We’re preparing to make imprints for next stage of qualification. We carefully used cutting knives to cut out our own unique patterns. 

Brenda, a volunteer from the RNLI in Blackpool came to speak to 4M about water safety in the sea.
She spoke about the important work the lifeboat crew carry out & how we can be more after aware of the dangers of water. 

4M have been cooking up treats in the PCA kitchen. Today we made tomato soup & toasties, which was throughly enjoyed by all.
