Hot Chocolate and Birthday Cake
This week was Archie’s birthday, he brought some cake in for the class so we used the Bunsen burners in our science lesson to make some Hot Chocolate to go with it.
Christmas Pantomime
Last week we went to the Pleasure Beach to watch Beauty and the Beast.
we had a great time watching the show, then were lucky enough to meet some of the cast after the show
Chromatography in Science
In science we made some baubles using filter paper, felt tips and water to create some beautiful patterns.
Christmas Decorations
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in 4W, this week we’ve worked together to put up our Christmas decorations including our tree and plenty of tinsel.
Pizza making
This week in Food Tech, we made Pizzas and also designed our own Pizza takeaway bags to put them in!
Well-being morning
For well-being morning last week we made pancakes and enjoyed a relaxed morning playing uno, gaming and making Hama bead patterns.
Cake Decorating
This week we baked and decorated cakes for the Children in Need cake sale.
Science
Today in science we used the Bunsen Burners and learned how sparklers worked, dropping iron filings into the flame to create the sparkler effect.
Teamwork in PSHE
In our PSHE lesson this week we took part in team games to improve our cooperation and communication skills.
Tim Burton inspired Art
We’re getting into the Halloween spirit today, we looked at Art inspired by Tim Burton films, then we created our own creepy portraits.
Solo music performance
In Music, we’re moving on to our solo music performance unit, this week, Archie, Alice, Mason and Teaghan showed off their fantastic singing voices with fantastic first performances, we’ll be working on our songs after half term, building to a final performance!
Descriptive writing in English
In Our English Entry Level, we’ve begun our descriptive writing module, we came up with loads of adjectives for a Witch, then created our own Halloween monsters and thought of even more adjectives for them!
