Finding ‘b’
Today we have been finding ‘b’ amongst other sounds that we already know. It was fantastic to see some of the children writing their own letter ‘b’. Well done everyone. Great sounding out again today.

Deep, cold river! Splash, Splosh
This week we are exploring the river scene from our story. This morning we moved the small world characters through the deep, cold river with a splash, splosh. Some of the children said that the water was really cold.

Sound of the week - ‘b’
This week in phonics we are focussing on the ‘b’ sound. Today, the children have been identifying lots of objects that begin with the ‘b’ sound. We are working really hard at making the ‘b’ sound correctly with our mouths. Well done everyone.

We’re going on a bear hunt!

The children in 1A are absolutely loving sitting and listening to the story, ‘We’re going on a bear hunt.’ Our new routine is sitting together for snack and listening to a story. The children are getting really good at sitting, looking and listening which is fantastic.

Patterns, patterns, patterns

Phonics - consolidation of sounds

Swirling Whirling Snowstorm

Welcome Back Everyone

Activity #4 - Decorating Biscuits
Our final activity of the day was decorating biscuits which was lots of fun. It was great to hear the children using vocabulary to describe what they were doing such as mix, spread, knife and sprinkles. We finished off the activity by eating our biscuits. Well done everyone. ⭐️
