This week, students took part in an exciting art lesson focused on developing their observational drawing skills using wooden artist mannequins. The lesson encouraged students to look carefully at proportion, shape, and form while learning how artists use reference models to create accurate drawings.

Students began by observing the mannequins from different angles and discussing how the human body can be broken down into simple shapes. They then carefully sketched what they could see, paying close attention to the position of the mannequin, the size of each body part, and the overall proportions. As their confidence grew, many students added shading and detail to create a sense of depth and dimension in their work.

Throughout the lesson, students demonstrated excellent concentration, perseverance, and creativity. They experimented with different drawing techniques, including line drawing, light sketching, shading, and blending. By using the mannequins as a visual reference, students developed a greater understanding of how artists capture the human figure.

The classroom was filled with focused learners who supported one another, shared ideas, and celebrated each other's progress. The finished drawings showed impressive attention to detail and highlighted the individual artistic styles emerging within the class.

We are very proud of the effort and enthusiasm shown by all students as they continue to build their artistic skills and confidence.
