In English today we started exploring Newspapers! Pupils made wonderful observations, verbally and using communication boards, to tell adults all of the different things they could see within the newspapers. Pupils will then begin to focus on different features of Newspapers in a more in depth way over the next few weeks. Alongside our Newspaper work, we also took turns in groups to explore a tuff tray with objects hidden within the shaving foam - pupils found the objects, used their phonics knowledge to sound out what they found and then worked extremely hard to put the word into a simple sentence. We were very impressed with their sounding out, blending and sentence building & pupils enjoyed getting messy! Well done 3H!
