Today in Art we recapped our knowledge of what Symmetry is and how it relates to our focus this term which is Butterflies! Pupils showed great recall skills and were able to say “butterflies are the same on both sides”. We again enjoyed our squish painting to reinforce symmetry and began the process of making ‘Love Monsters’ - once these are dried pupils will add googly eyes, arms and legs just in time for Valentine’s Day! We also worked on our cutting skills by cutting out butterfly templates and then using our super symmetry knowledge to paint them before giving them a “squish” to make both sides the same!????
