Our English lesson introduced the pupils to our new classical fiction focus text, Alice in Wonderland. Pupils took part in a range of creative activities, from colouring scenes from the story to making “prediction washing lines,” where they used fine‑motor skills and group discussion to explore what the text’s visuals might mean and peg them onto the string! They also enjoyed scanning QR codes to reveal three virtual jigsaws from the story, using these scenes to share predictions with an adult about what might happen next. Everyone had a fantastic time exploring and predicting our new text, and they can’t wait to start reading to see whether their ideas were right!
