In English today we focused on the rhythm of poems. We had lots of fun exploring the poem ‘Bouncy Boots’ in a practical, multi-sensory way. Pupils engaged brilliantly and there was lots of laughter as they sequelched the mud, felt the “rain”, stomped the muddy boots and explored all the exciting elements! Exploring the poem in this hands-on way helped pupils feel and engage with the rhythm of the poem - lots of fun was had and some pupils even showed super expression in their reading of the poem too!
