Elmer’s Coffee Morning
We had a very special coffee morning today! We were celebrating Elmers big parade which is raising money for Brian’s house.
We got to spend money on cakes, books and lots of other nice things, some of our pupils even got to help on the stalls and take the money from people.

Animal Husbandry: Feeding Small Animals.
During the afternoon session the pupils prepared and fed the animals of the small animal unit.
They prepared fruit, vegetables and crickets to feed to hedgehogs, rabbits, rats, chickens, bearded dragon, frog, giant African land snails, guinea pigs, tortoise, leopard gecko and hermit crabs.

In their morning session the pupils looked after the welfare of mice, rats and gerbils by feeding, watering and cleaning out their cages.
Maths
In maths this week we have been looking at one more and one less.
We used pens to allow us to add one more and take away one less to help our understanding.

Indian Stick Insects
Pupils looked after Indian Stick and Sungaya stick insects replacing their brambles and spraying the habitats with water.

Before dinner the group looked at different aspects of rat Husbandry. This included handling with positive reinforcement using meat paste, cleaning their cage, feeding and looking at enrichment. (Making their lives more interesting)
