Sixth form hand picked veggies!

Beach group have been picking fresh veggies and herbs from the PCA garden. We have picked tomatoes, carrots, garlic and oregano. They look and smell delicious!

Beach group

Beach group have worked hard to tidy up the school polly tunnel and pot vegetable seeds, for us to grow and transfer into our new Fruit and vegetable beds. So far we have sown tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce, beetroot, carrots,  garlic, onion, potatoes and cauliflower.

The Rewards of Horticulture @ Myerscough College.

Three months on, the broad beans planted by the pupils are up to 4 inches tall. The pupils each got to take a plant home and there were plenty left to bring back to school to be planted out by the Gardening Club in March.
