In our Enterprise lesson we learnt about advertising and how to package products in a way to make them more appealing. We then used our Christmas advertising display to display the products in a pleasing way to make people want to buy them.

Creative arts with Mrs Jackson is always good fun.
Today we created a drawing from just looking at a picture, we weren’t allowed to look at what our pencil was doing on the sheet of paper. We had some very interesting pictures!
5M Btech planning
Planning a party…Great planning session today 5M. Brilliant cooperation in group work, listening and taking onboard other people’s ideas and opinions.
5J Home Cooking
We continued to improve our knowledge and skills with using potatoes in our home cooking class.
We made roast potatoes, mashed potatoes and parmentier potatoes.
They were delicious! Well done 5J!
Therapy dog training
As part of our therapy dogs training, Molly needs to be able to understand & take commands from different people. Here are 4 of our Oracle students putting Molly through her training program.
Enterprise
As part of Enterprise 5B have been taking part in market research exercises. This week we visited a park near to the Oracle and asked members of public what their favourite refreshments were. Our therapy dogs Daisy & Molly came along with us too.
5J Stem
In STEM this week we were set the problem of working out which bottles would be harder to knock over. Ones filled with air, water or rice.
The air ones were the easiest and the water and rice were both harder to knock over.

5J photography
In our Photography lesson Mr. Shanagher taught us about “The Rule of Thirds”.
This is a photography rule that takes the idea of a grid in each photo and places the subject of the image in the left or right 3rd of the picture to make it more interesting.
We are looking forward to using this…
Smartie investigation
5J estimated a cup of counters.
They predicted the amount if colour and amount. Then recorded their findings with a tally chart independantly.

Sixth Form Myerscough group
Our students have been helping Blue cross and Myerscough look after cats that need rehoming.
Students have cleaned out enclosures and provided fresh food and water.
