Scrape Art KS5
We did scrape painting today. We used blobs of paint and rulers to create paintings.
We put the paint on the page then used the flat edge of a ruler to scrape the paint into patterns.

Resilience
5B were set a challenge this morning, to build a tall tower that would stand or to build a deck of cards into a pyramid. They showed true resilience & kept going no matter how many problems they came against.
Music at Blackpool and Fylde college.
We carried on with our foley sounds work at college this week. We had to take a scene from the film “Nosforatu” and create sound effects for the scene. These included a creaky door, running noise, waterfall etc. We did this really well and enjoyed it.

KS5 Motor vehicle VR!
Today a group of KS5 pupils took part in a VR activity that helped them to improve their paint spraying skills on car parts!
College
Today at college yr14's have been making chinese chicken curry and egg fried rice for their lunch. They have been practising their chopping, grating and frying skills.
Communication
At the Oracle we have a weekly communication lesson where all students come together to communicate using Sign Assisted English.
KS5 Fitness Club
KS5 worked hard in our after school fitness club!
Tobias worked on his PB for the plank (2nd in the oracle over 7 mins!)
Nathan worked with the weight bags and Kamron worked hard on his jogging technique!
Luca and Olivia worked so hard that they needed a sit and lie down!
KS5 Sport - Football
Mr Whittaker took us from the Oracle back to PCA to have a game of football!
We started by practicing our shooting before eventually getting into a game!

5B Reading for pleasure
In our reading sessions this week we have been choosing a book, finding a comfortable place and independently reading to ourselves.
Music Technology
In music technology 5 M have been listening to sounds made with a synthesizer. After listening to Mr Shanagher demonstrating they then used laptops to use one and explore the sounds they can make.
