Luca ‘The Fish’
This weekend Luca swam 500m without stopping! He did this for the charity ‘Polar Bears’ as part of an annual event. Well done Luca, we are all proud of you!
Children in need - Gym and smoothies.
For children’s in need we had a rewards day, some of us chose to spend time in the gym then Mrs Jackson showed us how to make protein shakes.
We worked hard and the shakes tasted nice!
Home cooking for children in need!
In home cooking this week we made cakes to sell for children in need tomorrow!

STEM
In our STEM lesson this week we learnt about fingerprints.
We found out that anything we touch has a copy of our fingerprints and that the police use them to help them solve crimes.
We then used ink and sellotape to take a copy of our own fingerprints.

Photography
In photography we looked at depth of field. This is the distance between two objects and where the focus will be on. This allowed us to create some interesting photos using toys and action figures.

Dog walking
5B took our therapy dogs Daisy & Molly out for a walk. During our walk we were able to have social time with friends, communicating & making plans for the future.
5M Photography
5M were looking at ‘depth of field’ a very technical term in photography today. Which basically means make the background blurry. Some great pictures 5M.
Chocolate chip cookies…YUM! 5M
This morning 5M made chocolate chip cookies . They smelt delicious, we can’t wait to try them.
Madame Tussauds Careers Event.
We were very lucky to have been invited to Madame Tussaud’s in Blackpool to learn about the job of wax modelling and jobs within the tourism industry.
We were able to ask lots of questions and were shown the studio where they model the waxworks and add the paint and hair etc.

Music at Blackpool the and Fylde College
In our music lessons at college today we learnt about the beat, rhythm and groove of the music.
We then made a PowerPoint with different job roles and information on them, we then finished working on our music tracks on Logic Pro.

Cooking at the Oracle
Yr 14 have made pizza pasta bake at college today. They have made the tomato based sauce themselves and added a selection of ingredients to it. They chose from sausage, ham, sweetcorn and peppers. Haydn said "its delicious".
College Tuesdays
Today we completed fitness testing in our Public Service session. Lindsay the b&fc tutor put us through the test, ensuring she was pushing us to be the best we could be.
