Fair Trade Coffee Morning at PCA March 10th 2023
The Band performed in the hall for the parents, carers and friends of the school to help raise money at the annual Fair Trade coffee morning. The hall was packed with people and the coffee and cake stand did a roaring trade. Well done to Miss Heard and all her helpers.

Blackpool Winter Gardens February 6th 2023
PCA Brass Band once again opened proceedings at the week-long Schools Alive concert in the Empress Ballroom. We played a number of our 'greatest hits' and the audience were delighted by our performance. Well done everyone in the Band!

The Oracle Building January 30th 2023
Prince Edward is President of the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and he visited our 6th Form at the Oracle to see how the scheme was progressing. The Band played some tunes for him and he was amazed at how good we sounded. What a great day!

Bispham United Reformed Church December 15th 2022
Our last visit of 2022 was to the church on Cavendish Road - we have performed there for the last ten or so years with the choir from Anchorsholme Primary School and we always have a great reception from the congregation. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone involved!

BASSO Winter Gardens December 13th 2022
The PCA contingent of BASSO at this year's Christmas Concert were in fine fettle for their evening performance even though someone had forgotten to switch on the heating! The Empress Ballroom was packed with performers and audience members and a festive time was had by all!

Woodlands School December 12th 2022
The pupils and staff at Woodlands School cheered and sang along to our repertoire of carols and Christmas tunes on a very cold and frosty morning. Fortunately the heating was turned up to full blast in their hall so we were all nice and toasty, just like Jesus in his cradle would have been!

Lotus School Blackpool December 8th 2022
PCA Band were privileged to perform at the newly-opened school's first Christmas Fair and what a success it was. The pupils, staff, parents and friends of the school came to look around and spend their money...... as well as listen to the Band! We played well and had a super time.

SEND Launch De Vere Hotel December 7th 2022
The Band performed Christmas carols and tunes for delegates at the launch of a new SEND initiative in Blackpool. We were well looked after by the staff there and we look forward to being invited to further initiatives like this one. What a lovely afternoon!

Tesco Extra December 5th 2022
Tesco allowed us to perform Christmas tunes and carols inside the shop because it was bitingly cold outside and didn't we do well? We played beautifully, shoppers complimented us on the music and the pupils' behaviour AND we collected £78 for PCA school fund. Brilliant!

The Mayor's Parlour, Blackpool December 3rd 2022
The Band had to perform for the Mayor and her guests OUTSIDE the Town Hall because there had been a water leak inside! Nothing deters PCA Band, though, so we played on the pavement. Well done to the Band and the audience for braving the chilly weather!

Holy Family Church, Blackpool December 1st 2022
Pupils and staff from Holy Family School performed alongside the Band and members of the wider congregation in a musical celebration of Christmas at the Church. The event was a great success and we are all booked for a repeat performance next year!

The Plant Place, Poulton-le-Fylde November 30th 2022
The Band performed at a fundraiser for "Sam's Place" which supports children and young adults with learning difficulties. It was a bitterly cold day but we showed our resilience by playing Christmas Carols and tunes for over an hour. Well done, everyone!
