St Mary's Church Fleetwood Monday December 4th 2023
The Band played Christmas Carols and tunes to an appreciative audience at this most magnificent of churches. A special mention for Nathan who's parents arranged the visit for us and gave us a great welcome - perhaps an invite for Easter could be arranged, Nathan?
Blackpool Tower Monday November 20th 2023
The Band had the pleasure of performing for members of the "Purpose Coalition" in the Tower Ballroom, amongst whom was Justine Greening, a former Education Secretary. We received plenty of applause from the audience and enjoyed playing in the Ballroom.
The Marton Institute Sunday November 19th 2023
The Band performed on Sunday evening to help raise funds for Bryan House, our local Hospice. We played very well and a total of £1300 was raised which must be a record! Well done to all the Band members!
The Cliffs Hotel Wednesday November 15th 2023
Blackpool Rotary Club invited the Band to perform to help raise money for "Water Aid". Guests and staff packed the function room to listen to us play Christmas tunes and Carols and they all sang along, thoroughly enjoying themselves. Well done to the Band!
Winter Gardens Pavilion Hall Tuesday October 10th 2023
The Band was invited to perform at the "Mental Health Awareness Day" at the Winter Gardens again because we were such a hit with the audience the last time we played there. Well done to Callum for excelling on his first outing out of school with the Band - top man!
PCA Coffee Morning Friday September 29th 2023
There were a lot of pupils out of school for a variety of reasons but we managed to put a Band together to entertain parents and friends at the MacMillan Coffee Morning. It was a great success and lots of money was raised for cancer research.
Pavilion Hall, Winter Gardens September 18th 2023
The Band performed at Blackpool's "Active in Autumn" conference. Only a few pupils could go because our school was flooded and lots of pupils were told to stay at home! However, a small Band was put together and we played extremely well as usual!
Summer Holiday Band Practice 2023 [3]
Lottie, playing euphonium, and Roman and Mr Strachan playing tubas, added a bit of bass to the tunes. As is customary, the Band spent the last half of the third practice playing Christmas music even though it was still August - we like to be ahead of the game!
Summer Holiday Band Practice 2023 [2]
Mr Bradford, Nathan, Nathan, Mirabel and Samuel attended all the practices over the holiday to keep themselves 'trumpet ready' for the new Autumn Term. Mr Taylor very kindly volunteered to drum for us so we hope he enjoyed the experience!
Summer Holiday Band Practice 2023 [1]
Georgia, Louise and Mrs Swift made up the "Sweet Sounding Horns" section of the Band and really made the tunes we played wonderfully textured, so that they both soothed and lifted the spirits! A nice bit of musicology there, Mrs Swift?
