Scissors are still very tricky for a lot of 1H so today we practised by cutting lots of different materials. We enjoyed cutting play doh the most. 

In maths we have been looking at shape every Thursday. Today we looked at 3D shapes and matched different things in our classroom to the correct 3D shape. 

1H went on a walk around the Berry Building to find technology. We found lights, phones, printers and alarms. 

At PCA we follow the Read Write Inc scheme for phonics. Today we practised forming all our letter sounds. Some of us could even write full words. Great work 1H!

This afternoon we had our first music lesson. We enjoyed playing the drum, shaker, tambourines and triangles. It was great fun and very loud. 

Jackson is our star this week for settling in to PCA life so well. We are so lucky to have you in our class Jackson. 

We impressed all our teachers today with our great number work. Well done 1H!

We loved our first trip to the library. We enjoyed looking at all the books and each got to choose one to take back to class. 

This afternoon we had our first PE lesson. We enjoyed rolling and bouncing the ball to our friends. Remember every Wednesday is our PE day!

Today we read a story all about a dot. Then we turned our dots into something creative. We had angry birds, smiles, cats and lots more. 

1H have had a fantastic first day. We have enjoyed exploring our new classroom and playground, seeing our new and old friends and having so much fun!
