Resilience
In 5I's resilience class today they were challenged with building a card tower. Jermaine succeeded in getting to the second level. Well done Jermaine you showed great resilience.
PHSE
In PHSE 5I are looking at teeth and deciding what foods are good or bad for them. The students had to cut out puctures and put them in the right group.
Cycling
After watching his friend Nathan learn to ride a bicycle Tobias was determined to learn himself. With the help of his friends and lots of resilience Tobias succeeded today and has ridden round the cycle track independently. Well done Tobias we are proud of you.
English
In English we have been practising our communication skills. The students designed a cupcake then had to communicate with a friend to make the cupcake to their design. They had lots of choices of toppings so had to make sure the correct ones went on their cake. If it was correct they got to eat…
Cookery
Today Mrs Irvings college group started their cookery sessions with Lottie from Blackpool Catering Services. We made scones today cheese,cherry or fruit. The students used some of the skills they have previously used in cookery sessions. They really enjoyed the session and took home their scones.
Music Technology
Students in 5M have been writing lyrics for their own song and then performing it to the class. They only had 10 minutes to come up with their lyrics .Everyone did a really well writing and performing.
Library visit
After a visit to the library Jorja, Victoria and Casey are enjoying reading the new books they have chosen.
Cycling
Tobias has been learning to ride a 2 wheel bicycle with the support of his friends.
Cycling
After about 5 weeks of cycling plenty of practice and perserverance Nathan has learnt to ride a 2 wheel bicycle independently. He has had lots of support from his peers and was very pleased with himself. Well done Nathan.
English
In English we have been working on listening and speaking skills. Today our task was to work in partners to make buttercream. Partner A gave the instuctions and partner B listened to the instructions and followed them.
KS5 college
KS5 have been for a walk to Watson rd park this morning. We visited the secret garden where one of the volunteers showed us the frogs and frog spawn in the pond. We also had a look and learnt the names of the spring flowers that had started to grow.
Library
Casey has really enjoyed visiting the library today. He found a booked he liked and sat and read it for half an hour.
