Community litter pick
Sixth form students regularly go out in the local community to collect litter. One of our therapy dogs Daisy came out with us this week.
B&F College
Today we did a fitness circuit in at college. We were taught the importance of a warm up & cool down before & after the main session.
Dance Mondays
We’ve kicked off the new term with a bang. In dance we have been moving our bodies to different genres. We’ve used high & low movements to fit with the song.
National Citizenship Scheme
Students in 5B have completed their 6 week course in employability & skills. They have undertaken common questions asked for employment & volunteering, understand basic rules of employment & what employers seek from employees & are now planning an Oracle Summer Fair.
Exercise & fitness
5B worked in a circuit this morning using the Oracle gym. Each student used different machines to work different muscles.
Public Services
In Public Services we were split into 3 groups & challenged with different sporting activities. On this picture we were using our arm strength to flip over the weighted item to get to the finish line first.

Reading for pleasure
At the Oracle we encourage students to read for pleasure. All of our students are library members & visit the library on a regular basis to exchange their books.
BTEC
As part of 5M’s BTEC in cooking they have been making, wrapping & designing their own chocolate bars.

On Wednesday afternoons Barry & Kay from the National Citizens Scheme visit the Oracle to work with all our students. Today we discussed what we should expect from employers & what employers can expect from us as employees. We played team building games , which included Job pong! This included us…
